I also part own, yet don't work for britishgaming.co.uk, a fairly large gaming blog in the UK...
 
We blogged while we were on holiday in NZ. Away from home for 5 weeks it was a nice way of keeping friends and family informed of what we were doing.

Other than that, no I don't. My life isn't anywhere near interesting enough to blog about, sadly, neither are most bloggers lives.
 
I dont really like reading blogs, i do however like video blogs. have quite a few subscriptions on youtube.
 
i blog at least once a week, it's a bit self absorbed and tends to my ego naturally but it's all in good fun. It initially started as a blog about my holiday in hong kong, then went onto now, to present day.

fact: i got fired from a company for my blog (not for blogging at work, never did that)

unfortunately, can't be posted as it contains too many swearies. i should really curb that.
 
Some blogs are good (I liked reading Steven Fry's, top bloke) but most are just from average people leading average lives and are boring quite frankly. If anyone could link some interesting ones, that'd be nice.
 
I've visited quite a lot of the blogs on the list there, mostly the technology ones. Hate those celebrity ones!

I have a few favorites I read:

http://zenhabits.net/ - for general life
http://tastyblogsnack.com/ - because shes fit, geekish and loves apple products! :D

and read a few freelance/web design blogs too.

Used to have a blog myself but cba updating it and my day to day life wasnt that exciting :p
 
I started one a long time ago, but never kept up with it, and it was only for one aspect of my life.

Never really thought about doing a Gilly Daily. Never kept up with anyone else's blog either.

And the knife/glass/bottle thing I just find really quite sad and indicative of culture in this country, which is, as far as I know, the only country where such words are considered verbs. Not because they are nounds used as verbs, but because of the meaning of them when used as verbs.

A bit old, this thread, but I just couldn't miss the chance of being shameless :P

Started a financial blog with a friend - its more a guide on investing (in China) as there seems to be shortage easy-to-access investment blogs.

With both of us trying to get into investment banking, thought it'd be a good hobby to get into, to get the brain ticking, and also hopefully increase exposure! Did think of starting my own personal one, for money-saving and earning tips though. (in the pipeline at the mo)...

I don't blog because nobody cares what I get up to. If enough people did care I suppose I might do one but until that is the case I shall remain blogless.

I have nothing interesting to say to the masses either.

Well, I have plenty of interesting stuff to say but a combination of couldn'tbearsed-itis along with a predicted lack of interest means I haven't ventured into the blogging world.

Besides, if I had a blog it would just be full of profanities ;)

is it a way of keeping friends informed of what you're getting up to without actually speaking to them? ;)

It got me to thinking, do the members of my "home" forum blog in any way? Sometimes I really find that I enjoy writing about things that happen. A lot of the time, I start a thread about it on here to chat with you lot but I could, just as easily, blog about it.

I don't have a written blog as such as I'm not so pompous that I think my life would be even remotely interesting to anybody else, I do keep a photoblog though but the only text accompanying the photos is objective, non personal and only related to either the place the photo was taken or details on the photo itself.

I also wouldn't bother reading anyones blog unless it's got some useful information for me, e.g. Ptaylors (http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/default.aspx)
 
What is the full word or term for 'blog' - thanks.

I don't read blogs really, I've never thought of making one either as I just would be too scared of no one reading what pap I have to share :(
