Do you dance?

When I've had a few too many the dancing usually gets going and at that point I think I'm God's gift to the dance floor when really I'm a class A idiot :D

+2

Sober or even Merry....no chance. When I'm battered....Its almost inevitable lol. :o

Not normally, however, if I allow myself to get sloshed, then I start trying to bust big moves. At our final college night out I broke out what I can only describe as a cross between the Melbourne Shuffle and The Robot. I called it the "Shuffle-Bot" :D

I do accept that it probably was in fact, God-awful and probably seemed more like an epileptic fit than anything else. :(

Pretty much everyone I know likes clubbing/raving but I always feel out of place because I don't dance. I'd like to, but I have no idea how, I've got no rhythm and I'm too self-conscious to really let myself go.

Have any of you been in the same situation? Have you got any advice for me (before anyone suggests it no amount of "refreshments" have ever made feel like dancing).

Hello me.

Wife likes a dance at a disco but we both cannot stand the idea of clubbing. We would much rather have a good meal and a chat.

I do, but not out of choice. It's when I'm far, far, far too drunk to realise what I'm doing :p

Pretty much the same bth.

I went to a place called Floridita (latin funk bar) in soho a few months ago. Loved it! I wasn't drunk and it wasn't a pitch black room either. Very strange as it has to be both for me to get on a dance floor normally!

Try different styles of music.

You have never really been clubbing then.

Parents met here, old school stuff, no internet then, just a room, vinyl and dancing.

Im the opposite. Most of my friends wont dance when we are out. They claim crap music or too dunk or not drunk enough but I think most of them are too self consious and worried about making a *** out of themselves.

I on the other hand dance like a BOSS whether I have a drink in me or not. If the people im out with arent interested in dancing then I just take to the floor and come back at closing time. I aint got no moves like Jagger, I just like to dance :)

Nope. I ended up in a club on my stag night and even drunk I hated every minute of being in there. Couldn't hear anything other than the crappy music, had to shout at anyone and everyone and I don't do dancing, of any kind, at all. So there really is no point me being there.

if it's the right music (d'n'b) i'll be going mental. not really what i'd called dancing per se, more moving around like a happy octopus

I dont do raves / nightclubs etc but I do find myself dancing to music on a daily basis when I'm at home. If I do go out I do a bit of shuffling or something but if the music is crap I don't normally bother, which is about 99% of the time.

I am a bit of a sucker for following dance moves from Korean pop songs, but I would never do it in public it's just something to amuse me at home. It's definitely a bloody good work out though.

Currently trying to master the dancing of the song that starts around 0:27 seconds in, and again from around 1:57

I can't dance at all, but I have given it a go at friends birthday parties just so I don't look to antisocial. I usually end up making a fool of myself with my epic fail dance moves, but its all good fun.
