I have seen some of the different thoughts behind the 'fallacy' and generally ignore them, because wide grip is ruinous for my lats (DOMS is horrendous) whereas narrow grip hits teres (major/minor) and other good stuff... However, if it is different for another person... I am for whatever works.
And adding weight is just hilarious. Do it.![]()
I'm still kinda on the fence about adding weight vs going wider. Last routine I added 5kg in my normal grip width. I might try going wider next time as I am pretty sure that I feel my lats more for a given weight when I go wider (from previous experience of lat pull downs).
