The urge to buy something you really don't need? Practically twitching here thinking of snagging another 3870x2 to crossfire it. But at the same time its not really something i need or going by most benchmarks would even see any benefit from (beside peenmark).

:mad::confused::eek:

There is definately some kinda of chemical reaction in the brain to buying stuff, shiny new kit or whatever, seeing it, pondering it then buying - the anticipation, the wait - then half the time its a let down or dies within a few months so you feel like a right tit!!

Buy some extra cooling stuff, see if you can lower your temps - might cost less than another X2! And you still get "Mmmmmmmm shiny..."

Not quite that bad :p

Just one of those things, you hear about it then read up on it, then hear some more and it gets interesting. Next thing you know you're mulling over it.

Hate impulse buying though, bought a ps3 on an impulse buy and it just gathered dust.

Dunno what to do now, just might not bother as everything is running well, plus id rather be clear of credit card debt for the time being. (untll r700\g100 time) :p

Decided to order a new case instead, gonna snag a Lian Li Armorsuit PC-P60. My current case is an antec p182, can't say im happy with the airflow to the psu as the fan does get pretty noticable. That new lian li case though looks to have a ton of airflow, 3x120 front intakes, normal psu position over the top of the mobo instead of underneath.

Not as costly as a second vid card either. :p Think the shakes will subside when i get to snort the box when its delivered. :D

Thats a pain in the ass if true, my 850 coolermasters a bit longer than the 850 thermaltake i had as well =/

Not sure about the case now, the pics to me suggest it would fit (barely) but if it doesnt i dont want to go to the bother of getting it returned.

hmm :(

You know the fan that partitions the PSU and lower HDD bay is replaceable right? I actually removed mine because I needed more room for my power cables.

Yup, taking it out imo would make the psu spin up even more, had it out a while back and noise jumped somewhat. Doubt changing the fan would make that much diference really.

Just fired an email to lian li about the top exhaust fan placement, though im expecting a response back in boken jibberish asking me if i would like fries with that. :(
