Do you ever type a post then delete it?

Ok bit of a wierd one but do you ever type a post or even a whole thread then instead of hitting submit you decide to just bin it?

I just typed a rather lengthy rant about a terrible meeting I had (wasted a whole day and got no where) then felt good that I had vented and just deleted it. I often do it with reply's to a post too.

Am I infact going insane or do you ever do similar?
 
Rant posts - yes, I do. Usually just writing it achieves the same thing as posting it for people to agree/disagree with. If I'm still not calmed down after reading it through once, I post it and see what someone else thinks :)

I typed a lengthy reply to this post but I decided it wasn't suitable.

I can't say it's something I do often. I rarely create a thread or type a post if I don't think it will contribute anything.
 
I do it all the time, not new threads but replies. I usually get most of the way through and either decide it's not getting my point across or what I was going to post was pointless to begin with. I don't see the point in posting unless it's going to be of some use so if I end up talking carp the post gets binned.
 
i do the same with emails, especially ones at work that really wind me up. i type the sarcastic and incredibly unhelpful reply to get it out my system then edit it and send a proper one.

i usually do it with posts that may cause arguments, i think to myself, can i really be bothered to be drawn into an argument, and then delete the post
 
I think everybody does this. Most of the time I do it is when I think of something amusing to say, write it, and decide that it was funnier in my head than it was in pixels.

Yep loads, especially in S.C. - end up typing an answer then giving up and deleting in exasperation :p
 
I do this all the time when writing replies. I generally bin them if i think i'm being harsh or if i have forgotten what i was trying to say after typing out a reply. :p
 
I do it all the time. Was thinking about doing it now as what I've said has already been stated but it sort of defeats the point.
 
I do it with replies when I write something and suddenly realise I'm not really adding anything worth-while. I also do it when I'm at work, get a call half way through and give up trying to write it at all as it'll probably be useless by the time I submit it :p
 
I only really post when I have something funny to say or something that I think needs saying. Sometimes I think my comments are on the borderline of not being needed, hence I delete them.

Heh. Occasionally I'll be typing something fairly lengthy and realise part way throught that I can't be bothered to finish it, so just leave it.
 
yep i do, ill be suprised if everyone dosn't now and then.
