I just typed a rather lengthy rant about a terrible meeting I had (wasted a whole day and got no where) then felt good that I had vented and just deleted it. I often do it with reply's to a post too.
sometimes, a lengthy rant is all it takes to blow off some steam.

what may seem like a great idea to post before you actually start typing could, by the time you finished, not be worth it in the end. you've got it off your chest.....even if no one else was around to read it.

Probably about 75% of the time - mostly because either what I am going to say has already been said, or it's a pointless contribution.

All the time.

Usually because I end up typing in stupid detail and then realising that it either wont be appreciated or that it wont be understood by the person I am trying to get to understand.

Sometimes, I just stare at the blank "Reply to Thread" box and wonder how to word things so my account doesnt break, then I click back and use the ignore list instead.

I start to type a replay to post quite often, I then realise that my grammer is crap and cant be arsed correcting it, so i delete.

i typed a huge complaint email to some games support site the other day because they are not answering me, must have been around 10,000 words, i just deleted it because i cba to send it, i felt better after typing it for some reason

Yes i do it a lot, general when i realise i will get slated for what i am about to say.

Some things just don't need to be said.

I do it all the time, I also preview all of my posts and make at least 2 or 3 corrections/addendums. In fact I've just edited this post down from about 4 sentences because I decided they were superfluous.

I sometimes type something, hover over the 'Submit Reply' button, then think "I'm not really adding much to this conversation here" and delete it.

If anything I don't do this enough.
