Do you floss?

That's probably not your teeth - that's probably the gunk on them.

Considering I tried right after my hygienist water picked all the gunk out, I doubt that. I can just about manage with my front teeth, but my molars are a no-go, and my big hands don't help.

I used to, I just used the floss action head on my toothbrush now though. Hygienist commented that my teeth are great so it must be doing it's thing.

*shrug*

Molars, fair enough, as they are closer, but between your front teeth, yeah, it's probably just plaque and other crap.

I just started flossing this week! Hoping it will increase the longevity of my teeth.

I've also started using mouthwash regularly - before I just used to brush.

I've started in the last couple of years, and now every few days I do it. Especially after eating meat it's amazing how much can be trapped.

You just need to smell the string after you've done it to realise how bad your breath could potentially stink! Also all floss isn't equal - I have two varieties and one is far too difficult to use, too thick - the other is really easy. It's very worthwhile.

Every now and then.

If you flosh after brushing you'll see how much stuff you miss and just can't get at.

I have an electric tooth brush now which is keeping on top of most of my oral hygene.

What floss would people recommend then?

I'd recommend using the small brushes instead of floss. They remove more gunk and are easier to use in my experience.

As for those people saying brushing is enough. It's really not, once you realise this the better.

Brush twice a day and floss in the evenings, I've noticed the improvements visually since I started doing it regularly.

I usually try and remember to floss once a week. I like the waxed minty floss :D

Daily, I have a condition that means there are gaps between my teeth within my gums where food can easily get trapped. You can't see these gaps though. Without flossing food would get stuck in these gaps and stink. It doesnt take long to floss, I just use those harp type things.
