Do You Game On Hard, Medium or Easy?

Normal, but hardest on Fallout 3 and Vegas, and most RPGs. I tend to play games with stories and am more interested in how a story unfolds without getting frustrated with difficulty.

For any single player i generally start off Normal, stuff like L4D2 and dungeon defenders, i will go for the top difficulty on, asuming the people i am playing with arent idiots :p

I always start on what the game is set to, which is normally medium, it is the way the game was designed to be played. Then if I enjoy the game I go for hard setting :) Same as the guys above

Most games - Normal.
Any COD game - Hard.

Not because I'm great at COD games. Just because I don't want to have to do the single player twice.

Normal. I like to be able to enjoy my play, and dying at every corner doesn't do it for me, really... Especially during the first play through.

usually its

racing games: max difficulty, no assists, manual with clutch, anything that makes my life harder turned on, etc, etc

FPSs: medium difficulty, except for the stalker series, which is on master

Similar.

however with FPS, i start off medium, guage the difficulty level and adjust if possible on the fly.
if a game deserves another play through, difficulty gets put up to highest level.

Medium most of the time, for racing games I play them on hard so I don't fall asleep during races (in racing games that don't have a difficulty setting I just use a slower car than the AI).

I play on medium and very rarely replay games, as there is always something else to move on to.

Possible exception is simulation games where I sometimes put them on 'easy' i.e. arcade type settings.

I'm on my first play through of Arkham Asylum and about 52% in on hard. Kinda regretting it a bit. Normal enemies are OK but the boss battles are a pain. Can't change difficulty either :)

Usually play on Normal.

But... for the first time ever, I whacked a game down to easy, because I felt the 'challenge' didn't really add anything to the game and I just wanted to enjoy the set pieces and the story without worrying about dying.

It was Uncharted 3!

PC games I play on normal all the time because you can't blame the controls as much... ;)
