Hi all

Just curious to know if you have decided to go ahead and buy your name as a domain name? You never know you could be famous one day....

Im looking at picking one up but its quite similar to another domain so not to sure if thats treading on dodgy ground or not...

Yeah I've got my firstnamelastname.co.uk

My uni revoked our email as soon as we graduated and I naively figured @gmail.com wasn't professional enough for job applications, although I now realised no one cares particularly.
 
I've got my own, but only use it for email and it was free!

having an catch all enabled domain is useful for signing up to websites
ie you can have [email protected] and if they ever leak/sell your address, you know exactly where it came from!
 
I bought marvellousbirthsandbabies.co.uk for the wife's hypnobirthing stuff, She needs business so all you pregnant people out there you have been told! :D
 
I have surname.com and .co.uk.
.com comes to me & the Mrs, .co.uk goes to the parents, just they don't realise how nice it is to have that.

Also my middle initial is A...
So [email protected] is my name with .com at the end :D

I nicked the domain from someone in the USA who let it lapse about 10 years ago :o
 
Don't have my own name as Paul Smith would be impossible to get, own paulyd.co.uk though and use that for my email as well as my server for a few other things as well

I had sinead.eu but TUcows didn't inform me when it was up and no someone else nabbed it :grrrr

i do have the .eu and .net names of my surname though.

Back on topic. I've got my pooker.eu that is just a dumping ground. as well as a few others from clan's in the past and the gf's + gf's mum are in my name.
