Do you have Catapult Killers near you?

We don't have kids with catapults, instead we have local companies dumping oil in the lakes and ******* over the wildlife. This isn't the first time they've done it, but they can't be named legally due to ongoing criminal proceedings from the original incident.

When I was a teenager I went with my mate to the local church where his mother helped out. We went in the middle of the night because his mother kept moaning about the pigeons in the rafters of the entry to the church leaving their mess everywhere.

We went with his pellet gun and shot them. He did the shooting I was just there for support or he was scared of the dark. I cannot really remember but wish I never went in the end.

It was a massive eye opener for both of us. It isn't like in the movies. Blood everywhere and they didn't die instantly. He told me he came back in the morning with soapy water and cleaned it all up and buried the pigeons. His mother was happy though as she thought the pigeons had "moved" on.

Someone must know and have posted who it was. Name and shame.

they are beautiful birds. little story to illustrate this. while fishing me and the father in law noticed a female swan had fishing line around its neck. so the father in law threw out bread to lure it in so we could try and catch it. as it slowly got closer he grabbed it it went a little crazy at first but once he started unravveling the fishing line from its neck it settled. once it was off he put the swan back down and the female and male stopped with us all day just chilling like it sorta knew it had been helped. was cool.

Swans get seriously injured quite often. This bloke near me, rescues Swans. He once waited out all night in the freezing weather, waiting from a swan sanctuary to pick it up. Article about him below

There are worlds of difference between legal and/or licenced vermin control, unlicenced vermin control, and just intentionally going out to kill something for laughs...

Catapults should be age restricted and if a child commits an offence with one, the parents should bare some responsibility.
They're already classified as offensive weapons.
Age restriction hasn't stopped kids carrying knives to school, though, so what would work better in either case.

The most annoying thing is you know almost nothing will come of it they'll get a slap on the wrist or a token fine they'll absorb with no difficulty

I'd hope that any fine imposed is more than 'cost of doing business', but I'd imagine that there will be some form of public retribution once their name is revealed.
