Do you have trouble parting with games?

I'm currently sat here, looking at my stack of PS2/3/Wii games trying to decide which ones i can sell. Now, this should be a simple task, i've completed Uncharted and DMC4 twice, i've completed Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy and several others, i don't even have a PS2 to play my old games on yet, however, it really isn't as easy as i had hoped.

I've always had this problem, i've had games sat in the bottom drawer of my dresser for years without touching them, in the hope that one day the mood will take me. Actually, hope isn't the correct word, fear would be, it's the fear that one day i MUST play that game through again, or fear that the game would be worth a fortune one day but i traded it in for 50p years ago (Metal Slug anyone?). In some (rare) cases i do actually dig out a title year after year (Vagrant Story, FFVII, MGS) but this only adds to the problem as the sheer enjoyment those titles give me makes me wonder if in a years time i'll be reliving the enjoyment of running and gunning my way through drakes fortune or giggling with glee at Marios stubby arms as he glides through space.

Does anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it? Do you have a closet full of dusty DVD cases like myself or do you cringe and bare the pain of parting with that plastic disk that has had its time in the drive tray?

I've only ever sold a couple of gamecube games to a friend, I allways think maybe I'll play them again one day, and also it's nice to have a big collection of games to look at etc.

I normally end up selling them and then wishing I never. A while back I sold Far Cry Instincts because I thought I'd never play it again, however the other day I actually wanted to play it.

I'm not one for selling games either, unless I have duplicate copies (rarely). I do, however, want to sell Twillight Princess and Resident Evil 4 (both GC) to fund a RE4 Wii purchase and perhaps towards another game. I've got 2 copies of Animal Crossing on the DS which I used to play with the missus on, but I'm no longer interested in it. I want to sell that too, and the only reason I will is cos there's a copy in the house.

I have drawers full of old PC games, I can never bring myself to sell a game.
Although I did tell my wife to take all my old xbox and PS2 games down to cash convertors whilst I was at work so I had no control over it.

Seemed the only way!

I've never traded in or sold any of my games on any platform. I always think "what if I fancy playing it again one day".

I tend to sell mine once I've played through it once. Saying that, I have Mass Effect sat here with only about 2 hours of it played, and I was considering selling that as I never seem to get the chance to go on it.

I'm the same, never sold or traded in any of my games.

The most I've ever done is sorting through my old PC games and getting rid of the massive cardboard boxes they used to come in... they just took up too much space! (I kept the "special" ones though, like Half-Life.. Monkey Island :p)

I always trade my old games in, though some take me longer than others to get rid of. Due to having a house and bills, trading old games in is often the only way I can afford to get a new game. I'm with a games rental company as well so I know that if I ever fancy playing a game again I can simply add it to the rental queue at get it again.

Always trade in single player games once completed

Keep online multi player games as long as I play them

Keep decent splitscreen multi player games pretty much forever

same ;)

e.g. once i've completed drakes fortune, it'll be on the MM, same with ninja gaiden, but COD4, skate, everybody's golf etc will be staying with me ;)

a single player game has the be the mutts nuts for me to hold onto it, like zelda: twilight princess, metal gear 3 and the likes ;)

I always keep all of my games, even the ones I know I'm not likely to play again. They're worth so little money it's just not worth the hassle of selling it, plus I like to build up as large a collection of games as I possibly can.

I used to trade my games all the time, then i realised what a rip of it was and started to sell on sites. Now, i don't sell at all because when i want to play an old game i had which isn't there anymore i have to go and buy it again!

Moral - Never sell your games!

I try to always keep my games. I had a really big clearout of PS2 games as I didn't have enough space for them all but only managed to get rid of about 4 out of 70.

I always think well even if I didn't like it the first time I might NEED to play it again!

ive kept all my games since the playstation one
the only exception being a stack of the sims which i traded in for peanuts

I just sold Call of Duty 4 for the PC which I found hard to part with even though I never play on it and have it for 360.
