Do you have your own towel?

I share with the Mrs, one towel for 2 days roughly. It's not something I've considered to be honest, I just grab a towel before I get a wash and put it over the banister when I'm done, utter filth it seems :D

I use any clean towel from the airing cupboard but I would then put it on the towel rack/heater in the bathroom to use again until I put it in the wash basket, I only dry myself with it and don't 'floss' with it as there's no need to?! I also dry myself down in the shower as I hate getting the floor soaking and mat wet, probably a pet hate of mine but I don't understand why most people get out dripping and soak the floor?!?!?

Because they have been in contact with the body and I don't know what may be left behind if they aren't washed properly. I just like making sure they get done.

We have amassed a large stock of towels, so may as well use them all.
This is a massive waste of water and energy. Hotels are even on board nowadays and ask you to not use towels you don't have to.

Please use a single towel more often, and wash all your towels less.

I may be misreading the post but has the OP gone 32 years without realising everyone else in the house has their individual towels? I would feel left out if I knew everyone else got to pick and I just got what was left :(

His and hers separate towels in the en-suite. Common bathrooms have common towels, but guests get fresh towels provided in their room, on arrival.

So yeah, we have our own towels.

We probably wash towels once a month, like other people. We just have enough towels to get us through. It isn't like the towels are being washed individually on there own, or being put through three or four washes. Like it's the worst crime you could ever commit....

So put the towels you didn't use on the bed the ones you did in the floor.
But i could make pasty on the clean ones on the bed! someone would have to smell them!

Why?

Seems very wasteful.

Depends what he means by a "single use". Whichever towel I use to dry myself after a shower goes in teh next wash, because it's completely sopping wet and no use to anyone as a drying instrument :p

So I guess that's "single use".

Isn't that normal?

Nope ive got my towel its red and will be with me until my dying breath
and yes people wipe their arses with them towels (not mine tho)
