Do you know this odd sci-fi film?

I saw this film way back in the 80's when I was a kid. I presume it was a 15 or 18 due to it's content.

Part of what I remember is a machine where the baddies would kidnap women and liy them in a machine naked and it had lots of needles that stuck into them all over their body. It would suck out blood or something and this would then be used to keep the baddie's female leader/queen from aging.
I think on the the goodies side was a kid. Maybe part of it was in or around desert.

Googled and IMDB'd etc and can't find anything and it's doing my swede in!

I hope it is actually a film and not some messed up twisted memory that I blocked out as a kid!!
 
Sadly, not either of those films but flicked through Lifeforce and it does indeed have some reasonable topless shots, so not all bad.
I suppose this is destined to bug me for a good while longer.
It definitely wasn't set on earth (or a modern earth at least,) I'm sure it was on some fictional planet.

The name of this film has eluded me for frigging years.
I too remember watching this in the mid 80s around my dads when I was a kid. I seem to remember he had recorded it off tv but could be wrong.
I also remember the needle things and they were in a sort of sterile environment with lots of white. I did think they went in to the backs of these nekkid ladies and they were stood up when this happened with lots of screaming.. Did it leave the victims a bag of skin?

I'm sure all of the above took part in space ships which looked a bit like Star Destroyers..?

I can also remember parts being in the desert and had like a fortified base where the goodies (:P) were and were being attacked by the baddies. Didn't they have some sort of giant robot or something that was supposed to break down the fortifications?

It really is doing my head in too and cannot trust my memories so a lot of the above could be inaccurate.
Still, you are not going mad and at least someone remembers this ******* film.

Oh, and Saturn 3 and Runaway :D

If you put 80's sci fi into Google it brings up a wiki page with every sci fi/SciFi horror film of the 80s.

Might find a name on there that jogs your memory.

I did actually start going down this route but after the first 30 or so films, my brain switched off and I thought to myself "Is this what my life has come down to?"
