Do you leave your computer on all of the time?

File/Media server stays on 24/7. HTPC goes to S3 sleep when not in use. Laptop goes to sleep when the lid is shut.

I shutdown, SSD is so rapid that boot times are no longer a concern.

My NAS sleeps after 20min of inactivity.

Desktop is put to sleep whenever it isn't in use. Rarely shut it down, however.

Laptop depends on my mood, though usually I will turn it off as it won't use any power at all, yet doesn't really cause me any time losses as it boots up ridiculously fast anyway.

Mac mini running as a server stays on 24/7.

Work Laptop: On only during working hours

Home PC: Off during the night (unless downloading specifically to it e.g. Steam) and on the rest of the time (I have stuff on there I need to access from work over RDP sometimes).

Backup PC: On only for manual backups as frequent as I remember

Synology NAS: On 24/7 but is a dual-core Atom so low power in use and spins down disks when not in use.

HTPC: On only during use
