Do you lock your car when paying for petrol alone?

Have never locked it when filling up or paying for it but seeing some the replies here will not start to do so.
 
Always. Often do it if i have passengers in too out of habbit as 90% of the time I'm alone! Just press the key fob in my pocket as I'm walking away the same as I do every time i get out of the car.
 
What is wrong with this country where you can't even leave the car unlocked while getting fuel :(

I've been to Cyprus on a few occasions and there (on the Greek side) the taxi drivers happily leave their (brand new) Merc taxis unlocked, keys in ignition while they are gone.

Ok that is a step too far, I'll leave it unlocked with the windows wide open, but keys in the ignition is just stupid as hell.
 
always lock it, doesnt take any effort and potentially stops someone having at the satnav/whatever or the whole car
 
I used to always lock my 7 Series with the remote key locking whenever I left it.

I always leave my Mondeo Open in the hope some **** steals it.

Alas, people are not quite that stupid! :D
 
here in remote norway, no. i've stopped locking it all together now because it just freezes shut overnight :p
it's quite common to leave the engine running when you pop in to get something from the petrol station (if you're not filling up, obv)

outside norway, yes. would never leave it unlocked somewhere like london
 
Yep, ever since someone snuck into my car and tryed to bum me.

He muttered something about an Initiation bumfest so he could join a local gang? ;)

Seriously though... I do lock it. Far too many theiving scrotes about nowadays

It just shows you how safe it is there I guess, and how the country is not full of chavs
