Do you Max Your Games Out

Hi Relentless, is that the 560 non-ti? Have you overclocked it?

I have one running at stock, and would be interested in your settings if you have.

Its a Gigabyte 560 TI OC and its running at the standard overclock of 950. I game in 1680 so that helps a lot but I put the AA on 8 in most games, one of the advantages of the slightly lesser resolution but everything runs perfectly and looks awesome.

At 1080 i'd imagine i'd just have to knock the AA down a bit but i've decided i'm going to keep my current monitor until it pops

Nope, depends on the game. Medium settings on one game will look better than 'max' settings on another game so you can't really make comparisons. As a general rule I choose settings that keep framerate above 75fps where possible.

yea but only if i can get acceptable fps, which for single player would have to be at least on average of ~40. for multiplayer i would really like it to be close to 60 as possible so would fine tune for that

RPG Games = Yes, they are visually cosmetic games otherwise they'd be boring.
FPS Games = No, I'm a competitive player so more FPS is always good, feels so much smoother to move and aim.
Starcraft 2 = No, I can see things better on all low settings and it feels smoother

Ah, you've got the posh one ;)

I've been gaming on my 1366x760 res HDTV so far but have just ordered a 1080 monitor. Hopefully my 560 (non-ti) will be up to the task. I've got SmartDoctor, which lets me overclock it to 910. I'm not sure whether to change the Vcore or memory clock though...

Pretty much :)

I have to compromise on AF more often or not, sometimes FSAA and shadows. I value frames per second over these. 40fps is as low as I will go before I start reducing quality.

Pretty much, i play a lot of bfbc2 and moh 2010, run them on highest settings with loads of aa, (ive used 32x aa with little hit on performance). Get between 70-130 fps depending on the situation in game.

Mostly, really depends on the game, some games benefit from a lot of fsaa, others like bc2 and moh 2010 don't seeing as fsaa seems to not work on every object in frostbite engine games. That being said playing in eyefinity res negates the need for a stupid amount of fsaa. :)

Ill knock graphics up a bit but dont usually put things on ultra as my PC aint THAT good, and im not too bothered about ghraphics, smooth gameplay is a hell of a lot more important :)

Ive found that as well with theese two games, the difference from 4x and above, isnt very noticeable at all.
