Do you over analyze things?

I do, so so much, to the point that it just dwells on my mind for ages. Case in point: There's a girl I work with that I really like. We get along well, have lots in common, etc etc, but I find myself over analysing evertthing she says and does (and similarly, everything she doesn't say or do) trying to work out what's going on and where I stand.

Would be so much bloody easier if I had the confidence to push that to one side and just go for it, but I guess that's just not me. Eugh.

For example.. my cousin texts me saying she's stressed (She's 15) but its nothing I need to know/worry about..

That itself would annoy me. I'd think "if she's fine, and there's nothing to worry about, why is she texting me to tell me she's stressed, but there's nothing to worry about".

She's either trying to talk about it by pretending it's fine, or she's being dramatic and looking for attention.

That's what I'd get from it anyway based on the limited information you've given. :)

I totally over analize stuff all the time, to the stage that it brings on anxiety and panic at times.Seen a doc in the past about and had a few tablets in the past but nothing helps. Almost split up with the gf (at the time, now fiance) a couple of times from over analyzing things. Ah well Im up for ideas on how to cure it :)

See a mental health professional such as a psychotherapist or psychiatrist, constantly worrying about things can be a sign of generalised anxiety disorder.

I used to, but lately I just think about certain things, and realise there is nothing I can do to influence/control the thing, so I then don't have to think about it...
