Do you own a Focus RS? Read this

Known issue, Ford fix them FOC, basically enjoy the car until it breaks and get it fixed, or take it to Ford and get it fixed as precautionary measure. :)

Ah I wasn't aware of that, just thought I'd help spread the word in case anyone here is affected.

Well know issue and weirdly seems to put a lot of people off. It's a fairly small amount of cars it happens to but due to the type of car owners are fairly vocal about it.

I have 2k miles on my 2017 RS and no issues so far. I also paid for the extended 5 year warranty so if it goes then Ford can deal with it. :)

This is old news about many an RS needling engine replacements is it not? There is a ton of threads on Ford Forums about it. Some have even had 2 engine replacements lol.
Probably why there’s so many for sale and the mk2 RS has risen in value over the last 2 years

It's been a long running saga to get Ford acknowledge it, which they seem now to be doing and speaking of a fix being announced. Till then the warranty covers it, so no worries for now. I've done 9K so far no engine issues at all.
Think some were looking to flip them for profit others just bought a car that doesn't suit them. It's a great car with even more potential, but that doesn't make it to everyone's taste.
