Do you own an 'IP cam' and what do you use it for?

IP cam? as in a camera that works remotely? or a camera that constantly watches the intellectual property that ive created?
 
when i had a dog i wanted to keep the back door open so he could go out but wanted to keep an eye on the door just in case someone unwanted took interest in it.

sadly he's no long alive so no use for it atm, would have liked to put it in the front bedroom to see life go past but can't as a primary school playground is in eye shot so thought it would be risky.

ps. its wep only so not very secure.

Im thinking of getting one at work but we want quite a high quality one but they are quite pricey.

Of course any webcam can be used as an IP cam (sort of) using Windows Media Encoder to stream it over the network
