Do you play one game or many at a time?

My self for example, play several games at once, slowly completing games. Mainly because I get bored easily when playing one game solid unless it really has it's claws dug in.

What about you, stuck to one game until completion/1000GS or play several, dibs and drabs until completion.

I try and keep my attention on 1 game at a time, although sometimes after a massive gaming session on that game, I'll swap over just to play something different. But I'll generally go back to the first game and finish it. Before taking another game seriously.

1 at a time, but I rarely finish anything these days. Just haven't got the time unless it's got a short SP.

I also tend to be one at a time.

I have consistently played CoD4 & FIFA 09 for the last 12 months, with little bits of PGR4, GRID & Trials HD more recently.

Meanwhile I bought a PS3 last Xmas and games like LBP, MGS4, RFoM2 & Motorstorm 2 are all still in their cellophane.

Same story on the 360 with things like Mirrors Edge, Orange Box, GoW, Stranglehold, Splinter Cell DA and BF:BC all bought when cheap and not even started yet.

I just don't seem to get the time to start all these games - it's only going to get worse with FIFA 10 & MW2 imminent.

I tend to do a big chunk of a game, get bored, play something else for a bit, then I go back and finish the stuff I didn't do.

I usually have plenty of games on the go but if something is good enough to keep my attention then that gets priority until finished, I don't really care about getting 1000GS on anything I just like to finish the story on hard usually

I only really get to play one at a time, it's mainly been Fifa recently and considering it needs serious amounts of time ploughing into to be competitive online its all I get to play in my couple of hours gaming a week.

:(

It also seems that if I want to keep my relationship alive with my missus I am going to almost have to give up playing games.

:(

I've ended certain relationships when women get funny about me not wanting to see them all the time in favour of playing games or watching Football, not love of my life relationships or anything like that but some I had been with for 6 months+.

Try and not change too much mate or you lose sight of who you are and also give her a false impression of your hobbies and interests and how much 'me' time you really need.

It's easier when you live together as you can play when most women go to bed about 10-11pm from my experience ! :)

That's my problem, we do live together, been with her 5 years and she feels (despite me telling her it's not the case) that I just sit there all evening waiting for her to go to bed, and as soon as she does I'm on the PS3/360.

She said it's no use me telling her I'm not thinking **** off to bed, as she said that's what she thinks. :/
I also said well I would ask if I can play during the evening but you don't like that, and she said well it's hardly exciting me sat here (despite having a laptop & DS/PSP to go on).

I also tried to explain that it's my hobby to no avail, I almost said would you prefer I go out every Saturday and **** £50 up the wall and do god knows what, but I bit my tongue.

I never complete games, as when I complete them I think that the world will end and I won't ever touch them again. Silly habbit :(

I normally whore up one game (IL2 sturmovik at the mo) then play the odd other fun game for a blast in between (say COD4, wipeout HD, everybodys golf).

Blimey, although he is right.... Just wish at times my gf would go to bed early, 10 - 11pm but no.... lol she stays up until I go to bed, even though we don't live together, when I stop over she'll make sure she goes to bed with me.....

Its only so she gets some..!! lol her reason is that if she only gets to have me 2 - 3 nights a week, then she'll make sure she'll make the best of it. Can't argue with that to be honest..

I recently got a PSP to play games whilst at her place, she doesn't like it.... Her normal trick is to put a sexy outfit on - works everytime... darn her..!! lol

As for me, I play games whenever I get a chance, and play random ones... If the game is REALLY good, such as the last Batman game then I'll play it till I complete it..

As for gf getting in the way.. well what can you say.. Girls do not normally like games consoles... they like snuggling up on the sofa watching movies, or hugging in bed with their man..:p who can blame them.. lol

i had all that ended in divorce;)

But I have to sit there and watch Hollyoaks/Eastenders/Americas Top Model/Britains Top Model/ and be happy as larry.

Afraid thats girls for you..... Solution is to get another TV setup somewhere and leave her to it...

Anyhow, everyone needs space if you live together.. Even my gf, who is actually very needy at times, understands that you can't spend every minute you're not at work with each other. You'd end up killing each other..

Its your hobby, just need to find someway to play games and not upset or bore her.

Yep my girlfriend doesn't like me playing games either, although she has learnt to live with it now.

The thing that used to make me laugh is when I'd play games when she wasn't there, as she didn't like it, then she'd come back and say "have you been playing games the whole time?!" - and be mad at me for not doing anything else- YES as you don't like me playing them when your there! lol you can't win with girls.

Back on topic, I tend to play single player games until they're complete, then never touch them again. Multiplayer I will dip in and out of depending on when my mates are online.

My woman isn't bad, she worked a lot of night shift until recently so I didn't really see her at night unless it was the weekend but now she's back on day shift things have changed a little but no big deal. We finish around the same time so we go home and watch a movie and she'll head off to bed, she asks me to come along aswell just until she gets to sleep then I can go and do my own thing on the PC or PS3. To answer the original question, I stick to one game and stay with it until it's finished.

Jeez what a response ... it's turned into a Gamers anonymous meeting in here ! :D

Seems we all know where each other is coming from with the GF/Wife vs. Games balancing act ... it's a toughie.

Only really stick to a single game at a time here, but that's just because I can't focus on getting trophies on mutiple games at the same time. Only a hand full of games I've got and not even tried to complete. Quite a load of games I got from my friend on PSN and really didn't put more than 5-10 mins into. Only game I have gone back to after an extended period of not playing was COD:WAW. Got bored of my others and went back to it for more trophies, got the platinum and gave it away. I will never play that sodding game again on Veteran :o

EDIT: Oh yeah, that and Fallout 3 *bangs forehead*

i move between games but rarely complete them unless they grab my attention as i don't have much time and since the missus changed her working hours she monopolises the tv
