Do you think I'll see much of an improvement

Don't all the comparison reviews say that the Z170 chipset is the one to go for on a gaming PC?

Yeah, Z170 is better, but only marginally. The only game I've know of where Z170 beats X99 by quite a considerable amount is Far Cry 4. I'd be tempted to go X99 for the additional 2 cores personally, if only in anticipation of better utilisation in future games. Depending on what else the OP uses their computer for those 2 extra cores may prove themselves useful in day to day usage anyway.

I have to agree with some of the Messages on here if you are having problems with more than just division I would look at reinstalling windows can I ask in all the posts you didn't state if you were running W10 if or lower.

The only other thing I can think of is keep the system you have and do what has been said and try a GFX upgrade I really don't think increasing your memory will make much difference as a lot of games are still not using 8gb I would say that it is defo your GFX that is letting it down.

You wouldn't see much performance change going to x99 unless you are going to use multithreaded programs but for games there wont be much of a difference if any at all
