To be honest both companies have been pretty sh*tt* in regards to vista drivers - even though this is by no means a minor OS release

I have an 8800GTX and to be honest I havent seen much benefit in using a £300 card - nvida truelly are woeful

Of course the 2900 cards can get better with more drivers from ATI its completely daft to expect otherwise, just look at drivers on each new generation, you always get benefits in speed and quality with updated drivers

As for ATI not being able to recover if the 2900 and its successor turn out to be the dogs dinner - thats better than a Eddie Murphy comedy
