I agree with Scuzi - you should view your contract just as you'd view buying a used car. It's important to give it a test drive, for several reasons. First, you need to get a good look to check the mileage - you don't want to buy something that's been around the block a few too many times. Second, you need to check the suspension - a small amount of bounce is fine, but too much jiggling is never a good thing. Finally, you want to check the gearbox - you're looking for it to be tight, with a smooth action. No one likes a sticky box.

Nah, with guys you know the score. You can tell by the sound of his engine if he's going to be a good housemate or not. With a woman it's different. She's more like an old banger. You spend lots of money on her, she doesn't always put out when you want her to and you often get people gawking at her when you're in town. Women need a more thorough check and a proverbial oil check is the best way to do it.
