Simple Question do you use a case on you smart phones ?
If you don't why not?

The reason I ask is with all the fancy colours and materials, I always get a case to protect the phone, I still drop my phones at least once every few weeks even when trying my best to keep in new condition.

Which type of case do you prefer ?

Yes, simply because they generally have zero grip since the switch to glass/polished metal.

Also the thought of putting my screen/camera lenses down on a surface without at least a little lip to protect them makes me twitch

I use one of those thin silicon things that just pop on with no screen protector. I buy very few refurbished cheap phones due to them being a liability. I know if i bought a decent modern phone it would be sods law that even with a decent case i'd still break it somehow.

Since the dawn of touchscreen smartphones pretty much every phone yeah. I went a week once without one. Only time I ever smashed a screen when it jumped out my pocket whilst running.

I use aramid fibre ones, mainly for grip although they do provide a small degree of protection. I like the way they look plus they're extremely light.

Never bothered with a case, I rarely drop them and even a few years down the line with a physically demanding job and lifestyle they still look new(ish). Ironically the cheap backup phone that I keep in the car does have a case because it came with one.

A case would be better though.

Don't like bulky cases but do use slim light case with tempered glass protector

I get OCD if get micro scratches also nice to pass it on looking brand new

In the house - No

When I go out - Sometimes..
I don't really like cases, you pay £100s of pounds for a phone then hide it in a boring, sometimes ugly case, Otterbox looking at you.

Case yes. Screen protector no.
Im had a screen protector on my s23 and never bother to replace it, one it started to come off, mistake on my part started to see little scratches over time

Tempered glass protector have always been a issue for me, every time I put one on and then put the case on the protector would come off.

you do have a point but when you spend on a £!000+ phone you would rather it be in good working condition rather than having scratches or crack I would be better not having a case but I would rather have a phone in good condition.

If the screen is flat it's not an issue, just make sure the case is screen protector friendly which leaves gap so doesn't touch the screen protector

I currently have OnePlus 13 with it's micro curved screen so for glass protector it's looking like need to go with UV Tempered Glass Screen Protector

You can see the Tutorial video below

I've owned Samsung's all of which have had curved screens.
it could be the cases have not been screen protector friendly, this suggestion may fix things.

Could someone add a poll.

Yup, and glass screen protectors. It's saved the phone and screen at least three times.

The recent models past few years have been flat , curved screens and tempered glass are poor you need the UV glue tempered glass but you also need to make sure the case doesn't start lifting it from the edges

I don't want to admit how much money I've spent finding out lol

Minor scratches bother much me less than a cheap feeling bit of plastic over the screen. Worst case scenario I have insurance. Each to their own as always...
