Do you use a case on you smart Phones ?

If the screen is flat it's not an issue, just make sure the case is screen protector friendly which leaves gap so doesn't touch the screen protector

I currently have OnePlus 13 with it's micro curved screen so for glass protector it's looking like need to go with UV Tempered Glass Screen Protector

You can see the Tutorial video below

Really is a shame the OnePlus 13 curves aren't subtle enough to get away with using a regular tempered glass!
I always put one on my phones and always scratch them somehow. Never put my phone in pocket with keys etc. I can live with a scratch on protector, but if it were on the screen I'd never unsee it!

I got a tiny but deep scratch on my pixel 8 pro, I don't know when and how it happened and I'm usually very careful. I was bothered for about a day or 2 then it literally become invisible to me.

Case yes screen protector no.
I always keep my phone in same pocket screen facing inwards and yet to crack a screen. The odd little micro scratch doesn't bother me.

Always use a decent case as my iPhone 7 must get dropped onto a hard surface at least twice a year and it’s still going strong.

Never used screen protectors as I don’t put anything likely to scratch the phone into the same pocket.

never used a screen protector before, but wondering to get one or not.
use a quad lock on my MTB, but theat case is huge so its only used on the bike.
Use a clear case elsewhere as i like the coloured phones and a black case would make that pointless

I have a case for it but unless I’m somewhere that it’s most likely to get damaged (I.e the building site) it’s not usually in the case. Always have a screen protector on though, can’t stand scratches on the screen

With all the hiking and camping I do as well as my somewhat physical part time job, my phone would be smashed to smithereens within a few weeks at best.

Saying that, last year was first time I cracked my screen getting out of a car as forgot it was on my lap. Darn rounded corners meant it landed perfectly on edge where case wasn't covering it.

Top end smartphones used without cases is something for films and TV shows as a marketing/flashy thing.
Real world use is extremely dicey at best.

Don't need a big tough case stripping the thing of anything nearing it's proper design.
Samsung's simple leather effort is the level required. Tiny lip on the front, smooths the cameras on the back and still feels slim.
Having said that, the quality of the S24 range took a downturn and it looks like the upcoming one may be little better.

I always find it a bit odd how phones are marketed as being made of ubertitanium and Corning ultimate mega super glass and everyone slaps a cheap screen protector and plastic case on them.

I drop my phone regularly and am very much in the case/screen protector brigade. I find the back always gets marked by stuff getting stuck between the phone and case though.

Solid titanium might be OK, but stainless steel and aluminium just dent and scratch, its all marketing and I bet cases have a good margin!

I always have a case. Usually a clear silicone thing that comes with the phone.. I just find bare phones so slippery in the hand. I never use screen protectors as I hate how they dim, tint or generally diminish how the screen looks. The only time I've ever shattered my phone screen was when I picked it up without a case and it slipped right on to the carpet but of course exactly where I had left a screwdriver haphazardly.

Has any one used the hard cases ?
I've never used one before, but considering a hard case this time round ?

Which type of case do you prefer ?

Got a Mous hard case with a proper lip around the screen. A little bulky but worth it as I like the design.

The last phone I used without a case was the iPhone 3GS as that was actually grippable. The iPhone 4 onwards was like holding a bar of soap. I will admit I'm a bit of a butterfingers though.

My current Pixel 8 with Otterbox case is extremely grippy, almost a little sticky?!

Always, usually for grip and always a screen protector - seems a no brainer for a few quid compared to the phone.

Always and do not cheap out on a case make sure its a good quality one too.
This . Always amazes me some people buy a £1500 phone and put a cheap ass case on it .
Always buy an otter box case with any new phone ,they aren’t cheap but nothing else comes close for protection
