Do you use a screen protector?

Afternoon,

I've currently got a iPhone 3GS which is currently being protected by a screen protector - over the past year it's gotten dirt underneath and thus air bubbles have appeared making it look rather ugly.

I've seen some phones without them and the screen hasn't been scratched at all. I've heard that the iPhone screen is very scratch resistant but i don't want to put it to the test without some other input from fellow users.

I'm undecided if i should get another one or if i should just take it off and leave it off!

Thanks.

I've had a 3GS for a year and never used a screen protector. It goes straight in my pocket and I've yet to see any scratches.

What screen protector have you got?

I managed to get a very small scratch on my old 3G.

Screen protectors I have had in order I'd rate them.

1. Power Support Crystal
2. Martin Fields
3. SGP Ultra Fine

I had my 3G for almost a year without a case and not a single scratch on the screen. It is made of glass so it is not prone to scratches unless you get something really hard and pointy on it.

Still have my 1G iPhone and it's never seen the inside of a case/screen protector. It has a small, and I mean small (3mm) scratch on the glass that you can barely see with the screen off - screen on I'd challenge anyone to find it. I don't know how I did that.

Not so much these days because they are everywhere, but when it was new people used to say "I'd like one but they look a bit fragile and expensive" at which point I'd whip out my nasty bunch of keys and really dig into the surface (avoiding the chrome of course). Some of the reactions were quite funny but it was never in doubt it would be fine - they are that tough.

That's not to say beat the thing up for the hell of it just because I do though. :D
