i use a spreadsheet but I don't update it often.

Just Excel for me, I made a simple spreadsheet to keep track of income/outgoings/savings which allows me to see my actual dispensable income. I also broke that down in to daily/weekly dispensable which helps me keep on track more easil. Just simple really as I don't require anything more complex at the moment.

Never needed to as money doesnt pass through my hands like water. I know what my outgoings are and I generally spend very little on a day to day basis.

Spending money doesn't really have that much to do with it. I have quite a lot of accounts in varying places that are a pain to keep track of in the browser, so I use a spreadsheet.

Thats because you have more complicated finacial set up, most people probably dont.

The One account has a built in application on their website which I what use to plan my expenditures.

Tried to get started with this once upon a time, looked at various programs, tried GnuCash, didn't get very far. I'll download MSMoney free and see how that goes. Anyone found a good Mac equivalent yet?
