Do you use Taoboa or Alibaba?

I got something shipped from Asia only last week and there was no VAT or import taxes to pay. I think they get round it where they can. Ask no questions and all that :p

Could be so chaotic at the moment that a lot of stuff just slips though.

Got a £550 cine lens delivered from China, no VAT, no import taxes etc. China >> HK >> France >> UK.

Got £980 steady cam rig coming from China in the next month. Retails at £1380 plus in UK specialists, so I'll either I'll get stung on arrival or I'll get lucky again :D. Either way I'm quids in as I don't forsee fees hitting retail and it's covered by Ebay money back guarantee (also played with CC). The equivalent item is on Aliexpress but I trust Ebay more for issues.

I've ordered from aliexpress (the more retail buyer outlet) and its so cheap and so good.

For example. I ordered a laser level yesterday . Same model on amazon (exactly the same) was waaay more expensive.

Also. You can get a lot of 10 day shipping time.

Just checked.
29 gbp amazon
19 gbp aliexpress (tax included)

I use aliexpress as much as amazon (if not more)
I'll check out this taobao or whatever it is

Just looked at taoboa, and banggood (seriously, that name)
Taoboa is a bit daunting in Chinese. And bang looked more expensive. I'll stick to Ali

Aliexpress is good.. i shop on there as much as i do on Amazon.

IIRC Aliexpress is a chinese company based in China but caters towards the foreign market. They dont sell stuff internally/within China.

Any electronics i want from abroad, my brother gets me to find the item on price.com.hk and he would then go to the shop to source the parts

I used BangGood for electronics, mainly for Quadcopter parts etc. etc.
