I noticed more and more cases have a USB-C port on the front of them
some new cases even have only a single USB 3 port and USB-C :(:(

Do you guys use the USB-C port for anything ?
As i have nothing that uses a USB-C port (apart from my mobile phone has one)

(am not even sure what i would even use it for  Maybe a USB-C Memory stick )

Looking to get type C on a B550 soon, but kind of tempted with a new case with it too. For future proofness ideally, but currently video camera and external SSD only use atm.

I used my webcam to test that the port worked. I mainly see it as future proofing to some extent for future devices that use USB C.

I can't as the motherboard inside has no USB-C header. I do plan on changing that though at some point as my inner nerd/geek thinks that it should be put to use, pointless as it is right now as my phone is the only USB-C device I own.

Question here is really - which flavour of USB-C you have available, i.e. is it full type C plus fast charge.. As far as I know port itself is standart issue, but feature set is dependent on how many wires are actually connected to physical socket. You can have Type C port with USB-2 speeds - on extreme low spec end of spectrum..

With most of my devices using usb c, my next case must have atleast 1 usb c port somewhere near the front.
I have stuff that has USB-C like my Mobile phone and Battery power banks but i use a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge them

Nothing i own that has a USB-C charging port even came with a USB-C to USB-C cable, They all came with a USB-A to USB-C cable

Type C port is a connector standard. What is made available to it in terms of feature set is determined by manufacturer by means of how many cables they actually soldered to pins in socket. - There are USB type C connectors that offer only USB 2.0 mode and transfer, some have 3.0, some have video signal wires, some don;t..

Connector itslef is only a physical thing, feature set available is not equal on all of them. Max featureset is used by Thunderbolt certified ports.
