I have DOC with Bell Flexi policy.
I've had a look at the policy documents and it doesn't mention the other car needing to be insured for me to drive it 3rd party. It also doesn't say the other car doesn't need to be insured.

Do you think I can therefore assume the other car does NOT need to be insured?

Thanks for the replies.

The car has MOT and tax :)

PMKeates - thanks, saved me phoning them :D

Don't you think you should phone them to be 100% sure rather than take the word of a random stranger from the internet? It would suck to go out and ditch the car only to find you're not insured.

Normally I would although I was fairly sure I was ok anyway, the policy documents didn't mention the need for the other car to have insurance and after it was confirmed on here I felt happy enough without phoning them.

i work under one of the brands that work with bell and aslong as your 25y.o + and a few other niggley factors we would offer you d.o.c which would cover you against driving other cars, the insurance covers you at a 3rd party only level so the car wouldnt need to be insured.

Apart from with Bell on their flexi policy you don't have to be 25, you just pay a little extra for DOC to be added, I think I paid about £30.
