Docker vs Bitnami

Hi all,

I have been looking into these two software. I wanted to know your experiences with them both.

I am looking to install one of them on my esxi box to deploy as a webserver for web based apps like wordpress etc.

They both looked appealing to me because of lack of config needed and ease of use.

I have in the past install ubuntu server+lamp with webmin for webserver. But it has been too much hassle for config and maintaining.

I've used Bitnami for managing Amazon EC2 instances, and found it extremely easy.

Docker is an application sandboxing method, Bitnami make pre-built virtual appliances. It's not really a one vs. the other sort of question.

Use Bitnami.

Docker doesn't do what you think it does. It's for all those elastic-load webapp ***** things that all the devs and kids love.
