i just received a dodgey phone call on my mobile from someone who was apparently from telewest.

Whats dogey about it, is ive only had this mobile/number for a few weeks and the only people who know it are mates, people at work etc.

The person who rang, obviously knew my number, AND my full name. They went onto say they havent receied payment for my telewest account from last month.

Even more dodgey is i havent even got a telewest account.

So i hung up,

they rang back, so i just rejected the call.

They then rang again and left a message on the voice main which was.

Hello Mrxxxxxxxxxxx, i think i seem to have got cut off before, if you could call telewest on 023242726292721441421762 about your account.

What kind of number is that - not even going to try and attempt to ring it.

But what puzzeles me is how he knew my name and number.

First thing to do is make sure you don't panic.

Look outside carefully for any black vans, black helicopters, that sort of thing.

Pack a bag and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW!!!

Just looked on Google Earth and it's zoomed in on your house

I picked up the phone to make a call and all I could hear was you breathing heavily.

well it turns out, it was a mate at work trying to wind me up.

got into work on monday morning and he started talking to me in the voice he did when he was doing in the phone call (which i can say he is excellent at doing different voices impressions etc).

After a few mins i still didnt click on - then he said - (in his normal voice) aye telewest, havent got an account but i better pay it.

I swear he needs his own radio/tv prank show etc - any voice he hears after a few mins he does an almost perfect impression of it.

I can get you out of the country in 4 hours.
Meet me at Telewest headquarters at 123 Fake Street, Townsville, Booncity.

yes but even though he said it was him, he might be lieing

Telewest might send the debt collectors round, best to check with them.
