*** does 2Gb help with ??????

Just got got another 2 *512 sticks of geil value so now have 2Gb via 4 * 512 sticks on a asus P4c800 deluxe and a P4 ...3.2 Ghz brought coz thought it would help CS:S run better but some1 said it runs of CPU more not ram . This true ?? if so what will the 2Gb help speed up just multitasking ??? or any spefic games ?

2GB is supposed to help out with Battlefield 2, suspect it will help a good number of other games. Certainly shouldn't hurt anything

I should put 4x1Gb in my PC just so I can say I've got 4x1Gb.

I've got 2Gb of RAM and it's almost always 60-70% used up when gaming (performance monitor on my G15) so I'm glad I didn't go for the cheaper 1Gb option

BF2 is the main game I've seen improvements with, I would have thought Oblivion would use the extra RAM too.

If you're not running at the higher detail settings then you won't notice the difference as much as the system is using less RAM anyway.

The main area where 2GB of RAM helps is to make your wallet lighter

Have a read around and see if your particular use is something that will benefit otherwise you will be like me with a light wallet and can't tell any difference because what I do is not RAM intensive, the word I'm looking for is horses for courses.

Made a massive difference for me on BF2 - hasn't affected anything else though but I haven't tried FEAR yet
