Simple question

I'm running a 690, and I have a monitor connected to one of the outputs, and just recently, have purchased a 42" telly to watch films on upstairs while the missis has the soaps on downstairs.

The aim was to have dual outputs from the gpu so I can stick a DVD in the pc and watch a film.

Will having the 2nd display connected, lower FPS in games? I'm sure there seems to be bit of a difference even when the telly is on standby. Benches suggest otherwise, (same fps in valley) but playing Black Flag, there definitely seems to be more jittering.

Got a second monitor on my GTX 480 which I use for iPlayer, watching films and battle log when playing bf3/4 tbh, I can't say I've noticed any difference at all, given I have an old rig that just about cuts it with BF4, in sure I would have noticed any performance hit.

Is this Nvidia?

In NVCP what do you have set here :

Try disabling desktop composition. Can do it via the .exe or the game's shortcut.

While an application going into True Fullscreen is (in theory) supposed to prevent Windows using VRAM, I find it's more reliable to force this on, particularly when using multiple displays.
