Does a boost controller add to gearbox wear?

I didnt say that, I was just showing that chavs would buy a rover 600.

I don't know why your becoming so defensive, hit a nerve?

I'll leave you to it now.

You haven't even got the car yet but are talking about modifying it and adjusting the boost for more performance.

Sorry, I don't understand.

You're having a go at him because he's discussing ways to get more power (and using his new found power) out of his new car?

In my 200, that used to have a boost solenoid that limited boost in 1st and 2nd to 7psi, then 10psi in the rest. I've now got an Electronic Boost controller that gives me 15psi in whatever gear.....

Just learn to use right foot modulation, that's all I can say. If its wet and I'm an idiot and floor it in 3rd when wet, it's sideways action galore ;) Anyhow the point I'm trying to make, and struggling is just take it easy, the boost will just come in like a lump with an MBC, the T25 doesn't take much to spin it up (Use to have a T25 on my Volvo 480 Turbo). It will hurt the gearbox more with those extra torques, but It'll be fun though :)

You haven't even got the car yet but are talking about modifying it and adjusting the boost for more performance. That in combination with your other comment makes it too easy to confuse you with every other chav on the road.

Please go back to school and learn to read.

I wanted full boost sooner, rather than the modulator controlling it for me, prefer the feel of full boost lower down, although it doesn't make a massive different to the performance.

Bodykits aren't my thing, and I won't be steaming round everywhere, the car was mainly so I have a fun track toy but an extremely comfy car for commuting.

If I'd wanted to be a chav, I'd have a Corsa 1.8 or Clio 182... I mean even the Rover 220 Coupe is a 'cooler' car than the 600, so surely I'd have one of those?

Kindly leave and don't come back unless you've got something productive, useful and friendly to contribute. It's comments like yours that cause arguments on here we don't need.

A few people have said 35MPG is doable but the best I ever got was... 28. Drag has gotta be lower in the coupe than all the other models too, surely?

You guys must have uber thirsty engines :p

At the RR, I think I got something like 380 miles to empty (55 litres used, about 6 litres left). That was a mixture of 70-90km/h motorway, bit of time on the rollers and some passenger rides.

I was VERY impressed!
