This is the exact one I was looking at.What monitor is it ?
Mine isn't on their list as being GSync compatible (BenQ EX3501R), but it is, and it works fine![]()
Also worth noting only through DisplayPort.
This is the exact one I was looking at.
Thanks
How is it by the way?
Also worth noting only through DisplayPort.
The newer cards 20 series also run freesync with hdmi.
For example my samsung tv has freesync and I can't use it with my gtx 1080 but if I upgrade to a 2080 the freesync will work.
Basically in the title.
I have a 1070 gpu that needs upgrading eventually anyway.
If I have a freesync monitor does that mean I need an AMD gpu to make most of it?
Frankly no, i have a Free-Sync monitor, its not an expensive one AOC Q3279VWFD8 Its certainly not marked as "G-Sync compatible" My GTX 1070 ran the screen in G-Sync mode perfectly, turned it on and forgot about it.... it worked well.
Am really talking about monitors here. From what I understand only DisplayPort works with Gsync compatible displays.
That's what im telling you, the 20 series now work HDMI freesync as well.
I believe about 2 months ago it started working.
Ah OK I must have missed this.
