does a keyboard and mouse work for xbox360?

I suggest you do some extra research. All of the FPS games (read: shadowrun) where PC gamers were put up against console gamers they nerfed the damage and accuracy of the weapons available to the PC gamers to level the playing field. This is because, in the hands of equal

The game was also a flop, it was years ago that shadowrun was released and there's been no notable second attempt at combining the two.

S'ok anyway, once things like this become more mainstream i can see developers taking measures to 'cull' the numpties that use these adapters.

Pretty much agree with the above.

So long as only a few people are hacking MS are happy to let it happen until the next 360 update which usually bans these machines anyway.

Same mentality with this i guess, if it takes off major style i can see MS doing something about it.

KB/Mouse support destroyed some early FPS online, cant see MS letting this happen to their flagship franchise Halo somehow.

MS cant do anything to ban the XIM through the XBOX unlike all the other adaptors it simply uses a controller to pass through. Its impossible to detect as the XBOX just sees a licensed controller, the only way they could get round it would be to ban all licensed wired controllers..

Can MS go directly after the company? The XIM2 was a small project but this is hoping to be "mainstream"

I think is stupid personally, I don't play FPS on console much and I hardly take it seriously. Why would I want to have a clear advantage over who I'm playing against? I'll just play my PC if I want to use a mouse and keyboard, it's my preferred choice of platform for most games anyway.

You'd feel like a god! Using a mouse and keyboard on the console would be akin to using an aimbot on the pc. I've never seen the satisfaction in using hacks but I'd imagine it's the same thing.
If it was all set up right to account for the controllers dead-zones and sensitivity (which is different for every game so I imagine there's a page full of settings for these things), it would be pretty close to playing on pc and you would just be annihilating everyone.
I only just got an xbox a month or so ago and I'm still adjusting. I'm still a little clumsy with the controller but I've went from having my teeth shot out none-stop to being first second or third on the cod scoreboard every match within about four weeks. Trust me dmxdex2020, if that IS your real name, if I can do it, anyone can :D Just get a game you're used to playing on pc, left 4 dead or cod 4 or something and just play it for a few weeks, you'll pick it up and you'll be wiping the floor with your mates in no time :D

That's what it use to be like but with the new XIM3 you just down load the "smart translator" for the game and set-up your sensitivty.

As for your other point my mate literally couldn't play at all for months, he never got better...maybe a little. He then got some FPS Freeks and that just made the controller click for him so I suggest anyone struggling looks in to those.
