Does a portable screen/keyboard dock for a mobile exist?

Sort of depending on phone - one problem is that often the micro USB slot can either be used for video output via MHL or mouse/keyboard/storage USB via OTG but not both at the same time so you'd probably have to use some kind of mixed bluetooth and/or screen casting options.

Personally I just bought a GPD Pocket instead though unfortunately despite many positives it is a little glitchy in some respects.

Yeah Microsoft really dropped the ball. This concept should have been the goal of Windows Phone and Surface, but no, they went after everything like a puppy chasing butterflies and caught nothing*

*This metaphor was brought to you from sitting my sister's new dog last summer

Its pretty apt actually - they seem to be doing the same thing with the Polaris project - another instance of chasing butterflies and catching nothing IMO.

Don't forget the Asus Padfone series, where it could dock into a tablet for a bigger screen, which then could dock into a keyboard for a laptop mode.

Although they haven't made a new Padfone in years...

Razer did a concept on this at CES 2018.

Razer Project Linda. Uses the Razer Phone as the processing and trackpad for a laptop 'dock'.

My problem is that fact you still have to carry the phone and.....phone laptop!

Might as well buy a real laptop!

Yeah, if I was looking to move about with the device then yeah you might aswell get a laptop...however this is just a device for at home (I don't have space of a desktop) and I thought that it would be nice if I just bought a top of the range phone every couple of years rather than two devices.

Currently I have the One+5T which is actually probably faster than the Toshiba Chromebook I use!
