...the DB (sound level) of a stock intel cpu cooler (LGA775)

It's just I am buying a new one and don't want anything any louder.

I have my PC on my desk so sound is important to me.

Thanks a lot.

Intel Stock Core 2 Duo Radial Curved Bifurcated Fin Heatsink Review

With its Nidec F09A-12B1S2 fan rotating at default speed (est. 1500RPM via 3-pin fan power supply), the stock Intel Core 2 Duo heatsink produces a very quiet 36.7dBA noise. This fan model pulls 0.2A in operation, while the older stock Intel Pentium D fan draws 0.42A power. The latter spins faster but creates more noise as a result.

Thanks for that mate, 30+DB is quite loud actually, opposing what he says.

I am thinking about getting the Cooler master hyper 212 which produces 19DB.

Thanks again.

Decibel readings mean vanishingly little for a variety of reasons. Mainly that dB and DB are different, a measurement distance needs to be specified and never is, and that amplitude of the sound is not an accurate indicator of how annoying it is.

You're far better off going by silentpcreview's opinion than by essentially arbitrary numbers
