And on the rare occasions I have taken pills it hasn't been a struggle.

It increases the surface area massively, so they are absorbed much faster. It won't matter with all tablets, but may with some.

Ah, thank you, that makes sense now. As you say it probably won't matter for many but it isn't something I'd really thought about.

I've never had difficulty in taking large sized multivit capsules or tabs. Everyone's different I guess. I hear it quite a bit from customers, I always feel like saying "Go on love, cram it in".

I didn't realise OCUKers wore breastplates while browsing OCUK

Best way to take them if your being soft is to put the tablet in your mouth, then take a drink of water or whatever your chosen liquid may be, then swish that round your mouth the tablet will get mixed in with the swish and then just swallow the liquid and voila, you don't even feel the tablet go down.
