Does anybody else hate using DisplayPort technology?

Yeah I may have to do that to fix the colour problems (if they're present, and if the initial fix doesn't work) but not sure that affects the powering off issue?

Got to my PC an hour ago, turned my PC on, only one monitor came on, brilliant.

Restarted my PC, then both stopped working. It's taken almost an hour but I've finally got them back on again (disabled DisplayPort 1.2 and DDC/CI and pulled the power out of each monitor for a few minutes).

Honestly I'm gobsmacked that things can be this difficult, I really am. I'm reluctant to even try the EDID stuff as I fear I'll only end up even more stuck than I just have been. I think I'll be purchasing a couple of MiniDP to HDMI cables and seeing how things work with that...

Yeah from what ive read the DP is just a mess on the monitor. Does your Vcard have hdmi? If it does try giving that a try, people report less issues with on and offs with hdmi to hdmi.

Sounds like youve already tried but also mess with the displayport on off on the osd if you use hdmi.

Also do you know what revision of the monitor you got? some people report less on offs with the second revision they made. AO1 i believe.

Clearly nvidia can't cope with DP.

I have three monitors connected via DP, 2x 2560x1600 and 1 x 3840x2160. HD7990 card and all works fine.

I was using DP on my 290 until it kept throwing a hissy fit and telling me every time I boot that there was a DP Link Failure. Switched back to DVI!

I've got 3
I was wondering if you could try something for me?
Thinking about getting one but i only have one GTX770 and dont really want to SLI.
If i want to run a game in 1920x1080, the screens gonna have to interpolate it up to fit the 2560x1440 pixels.
I dont know if you game, but if you do is there any chance you could try running in HD and tell me if there is any blurring/smoothing once its upscaled to fit your monitor. Ive heard bad things about interpolation.

That entirely depends on the monitors you've got. I have however tried games at 1920x1080, and they don't look that bad. 2560x1440 obviously looks a lot better as it naturally would, but 1080 is more than playable.

Good to know. Considering waiting for the u2515h which is 1440, but with only one gtx770 some games may be better at 1080 to maintain frame rate. Just dont want games to be blurred out if i decide to do this.
May i ask what vCard(s) youve got and how they do with 1440?
