No, this was a new trailer/movie. All no-name rubbish actors, it really was laughable.

there was a new version released a few years ago, the one with sly is the 1975 version.

It wasn't that either. That had Jason Statham and Ian McShane in it. This looked like some independent film with no-name actors and dodgy special effects, like the one in the OP.
