Does anyone else eat kiwi skin?

Everytime I do people seem to cringe as if it's something very odd but I've always done it. Although a bit hairy there's loads of flavour!

Obviously just a thread about kiwi skins is a bit poor so I thought other people could say odd things they do/eat and see if anyone else does them too.

I can tell you that my housemate also eats Kiwi skin and says exactly the same. I've yet to try it though!

I swallow chewing gum when I cant find a bin.
I dont see what the big deal is, but everyone else seems to think its killing me.
I hate explaining that chewing gum doesnt actually stay in the digestive system for 7 years..

Anyone else?

Hmm, both really. I don't mind teh skin. It's weird if it's on its own, but with some fruit it's fine.

Reminds me to buy some kiwi's actually..

last time i tried to eat a kiwi without removing the skin, i ended up with a mouth full of fur that refused to leave for about 45 minutes... not pleasant.

but i always swallow my gum. no point not doing so.

I always eat the skin. It adds more flavour .

Yeah I always eat it. Always have done.

It tastes pretty good really, I don't see why people get so worked up about it being "furry".

I tend to wash them before I eat them and in the washing and drying process they lose much of the external fibres, not all, but lots. I eat the whole thing, bar the sharp bit left at one end, which i mercilessly drag any last remaining bit of flesh out of before binning.

Just last week this was brought up as my mother in-law eats it with the skin on I had to check google as I was always brought up by taking the skin off! It's ville with the skin on
