Does anyone else find university hard?

Computer Security and Digital Forensics.

I found the vast majority of it easy, however lately in honours year I'm finding the project and personal time management a huge thing to overcome.

Been a 1st achieving student for three years, however this seems to be slowly slipping out of reach...

A couple things:

1) Honestly, it's not a bad thing to find your University course difficult. What you should be worrying about is if you find the coursework easy then you get the marks back and realise you did poorly. :)

2) Seeing something as difficult is a good excuse to step up and you will get a greater satisfaction from completing a difficult task than an easy one.

3) Of course some people will say their course is/ was easy! Whether it was in reality or not is a different matter.

4) If you're struggling there are things you can do to improve your performance (i.e. put in more time with the work, get someone else to help you with the harder bits) the worst thing you want to do is go "Right well, this is harder than I thought so I guess I'm gonna go ahead and give up!" By all means, do that, just be aware of the consequences.

Tl; dr: Man up, life is hard. But the harder you work the better the reward. :D

Medicine at Newcastle.

I find it hard due to the sheer amount of knowledge involved. So much to remember.

University course are designed round 35 hour working weeks. If you are putting in 15 hours or so to just attend lectures etc then you may struggle to keep up. If you are putting in a solid 35 hours but still falling behind then you also have problems.

For the prices per year nowadays I'd expect at least 20 hours of lectures compared to the 2-4 hours/week when I went and the fees were only £4K

Depends on the course really. BA's yes require at least double the hours of lectures per week of additional study. BSc's, depends on what the course type, but for Computer Science anyway a lot of it is taught during lectures and lab classes, so not much is required of personal study (bar exams and projects).

I think it seems to depend on the subject, I did computer science but I imagine something law would be extremely time consuming. I put minimal effort into modules that didn't interest me and received a third.

I find it the easiest thing ever.

Down the road..turn right....carry on for 3 miles and your there :)

Sorry.

Not sorry.

Did I pass the exam then :D

Yes, though I'd like to see this '3 mile road' you simply go down and arrive at the Uni you're looking for. Most Uni approach roads I know of have far too many misleading signs to divert you to the wrong area of the Uni.

I don't think you thought your directions through well enough to be honest Sir.
