Does anyone else get this?

After running some games such as Battlefield BC2 the Windows cursor animations stop working and you end up with a Windows 3.1 era static cursor.

Why is this and is there any fix for it other than an entire OS reboot?

That's weird even after a fresh install I get it.

I remember Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl used to do it as well, it's as if Aero animations get switched off.

Others must get it with BC2 surely?

yeah i used to get this. The way i fixed it was ctrl+alt+delete, then end the task explorer.exe, then click start new task. and type explorer.exe and thinsg return to normal.

Its a bug with some games as when they are excecuted aero is switched off when they are full screen, but sometimes windows just fails to activate it when you end the game.

Bah that's lame but at least I know it's a windows bug and not an issue as such.

I actually get a message from W7 64 bit to tell me that Aero is slowing the machine has been turned off. I just nit the restore button and alls well.

Yeah I get that too occasionally when exiting BC2, but the cursor thing seems to happen regardless.
