Does anyone else post and then immediately edit?

I've begun to notice that I'll reply to threads with my thoughts and then almost as soon as I've posted another thought will appear, either unprompted because I've thought of something else to add/remove or because I've read the post or two above mine and I want to comment on it so I edit.

Am I alone in this?

(I'm really tempted to put a fake edit in this post but that would be embarrassing even by my own terrible standards.)

Whilst I'm at it, why does no one use the voting system to rate threads? It can't just be me who uses it, can it?

tl;dr - 'And another thing I've just thought of, also why no stars?'

e : I put a fake edit in because it made me laugh but doesn't preclude me from being a terrible person.

I do it all the time primarily 'cos I bang away at the keyboard then press post before I read it :p (I get carry away I think)

Usually my edit is within* seconds of the original post though...

..*added with edit doh!

I do this a lot, my brain keeps going after I hit the reply button and I have to go back and add stuff.

Edit: Or delete stuff :p

As for the voting system to rate threads I've only used it a handful of times, I don't see the point.

I do usually because even after proof reading my post for bad spelling I spot one and have to edit it. I'd rather have to edit something and it be at least partly readable than a post full of errors.

Nope, I really wish I was a bit more deliberate in my posting as I usually find that I haven't worded things the way I really intended after hitting submit. I'm the same in that I get new thoughts popping up after re-reading what I posted.

I think it's probably quite a bad habit and indicative of indecisiveness. :p

All the time, my brain races ahead of my mind and doesn't go back correct it. Example:

I will frequently go frequently to and edit my posts as most of the time I 90% get it wrong.

Edit - haha ironically I just did it in my first sentence :D

Yes, mostly to Fix spelling grammar etc.

Or coz someone else has posted in the "Typing time" and I respond/quote that as well.

I quite often write out a reply and then just delete the whole thing before clicking Post Reply. At least once or twice a day :p
