Does anyone else prefer reading on a computer screen?

Book > eInk > PC monitor > Sumerian cuneiform on a 3,000 year old clay tablet shaped like a goat's kidney.

tldr; book > all.

Much prefer words on a page. In reality though, I do most of my reading via a screen -> monitor, tablet or phone.

It is a new years resolution of mine to start reading more books again this year. Didn't read any lat year (too many video games!)

I much prefer books. I really can't be dealing with a Kindle, no matter how nifty it is. Nothing beats the feel and smell of a new book :)

sometimes, have to have it blue instead of white background though.

but i prefer a book as can hold it in more comfortable reading position, suppose a pad/kindle would work for that though.

Although I only read techie books for certification etc, its almost always a proper book. I hate reading from a computer screen, I have quite a few floaters in my eyes which make worse again.

Not at all! And I find it harder to spot mistakes when I'm looking at a screen. I find it easier to proof read something if I print it to read.

I do have a Kindle which is spot on, but a computer screen, no.

No, I hate it with a passion. Give me a proper book any time.

This all the way, hate reading anything longer than a few sentences on screen,
It's not just how it bugs my eyes though, the touch and feel of a proper good old fashioned paperback will never be replaced or replicated lol

prefer a book/kindle to a computer screen/LCD... don't really like staring at an LCD at all when reading - I tend to print stuff out at work even if I'm going to then be throwing it away not long after.

I only read on screens, books are obsolete.

+1

I don't really mind either. Infact, i'm divided between the two. I find my iPhone to be very easy on the eyes in the dark if you turn white one black on and turn the brightness down. Tablets/phones are much easier to hold and carry aswell :p
