Does anyone else think iPhone 3.1 is awful!

Noticed no difference at all! Great battery life here. :)

Edit: Actually the other week my phone turned itself off after being locked twice, has not happened since.

I haven't noticed anything until the other day.

I was being called by a mate so I got my phone out and to slide the switch to unlock/answer. But the slider switch (?) kept getting stuck half way. :o

Haven't had it since but it was pretty annoying to say the least. :(
I get that now and again (less than once a week) with the thing not being able to unlock or answer a call - frustratingly! But, I'm on 3.0.

well my 4 day old replacement has developed the amazing feature of the silent switch makes it vibrate for a second or so with the slightest of touches, so i'm now walking around with a vibrating brick in my pocket which only stops when it turns itself off when it chooses

I've had the sticky slider switch when being phoned, that was annoying.

Battery life seems the same as 3.0. Haven't had any random lockups etc. so far - touch wood.

I received a text earlier and it wasn't on silent, yet I'm almost certain it didn't make a noise...

Haven't had any issues with my 16g 3g since the update. Battery life is about 3 days for me too. I keep 3g turned off though since I'm way out of o2's 3g coverage. I don't have any apps installed that use push.

I keep getting sticking sliders. Its locked up loads of times. I have also had when i press the home or wake buttons it taking a long time to wake up.

3 days with heavy use? If I use mine for a couple of games, a few phone calls, general browsing and a bit of maps navigation then i'm lucky to get 1 day out of it!

I charge mine every night my default, just plug it into the wall overnight :(

i work in a factory so the phone cant get a signal i put it in airplane mode and have music on for about 6 hours a day and lots of txts and calls before and after work (the phone is connected to an external speaker system but doesnt get charged of it, so its playing it from the speakers not the built in ones on the phone)

iPod Touch here, no problems with 3.1. In fact, on 3.0, there were two main problems for me that were fixed - very slow bootup and very slow genius playlist creation (it took 2 mins once on 3.0!!)

Dunno if it is 3.1 related but its doing a lot of ----

WTF, I have full bars and 3G showing.......

check you're network settings - have you updated recently. I get this as I'm pay and go on an update as the update resets the APN back to idata.

Only problem I'm having with 3.1 is that the phone takes much longer to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

My battery life has gone up quite a lot since 3.1. Some features like 3G and GPS still drain it as quickly as ever, but I get better standby life now - previously it used to drain about 1% per hour on standby, now it's more like 1% every two hours.

This is the worst version for a while. It's locked up my iPhone about 10 times since I upgraded. It's not good. I hope apple get an update out soon.
