Does anyone ever go back and play any really old games ??

Just starting Tie Fighter again for the first time in years, may be nearly 20 years old and the graphics show that but the presentation and gameplay are miles ahead of Lucasarts recent efforts.

Just wish they'd included countermeasures in the re-release. AI's adv missiles suck :p

Played Civilisation 2 up until about three years ago after I realised the amount of time I had wasted / invested in it

i loved this game. it's been years since i played, I enjoyed everything about this game, story, gameplay was just outstanding. are you playing it on on old rig or dosbox?

i would love to play this again :)

Hardly a week goes by when I don't fire up an Amiga emulator and have a games of Tony Crowther's Captive. Like a Sci-Fi Dungeon Master, but MILES better!

I play the old Doom/Doom 2/Final Doom/Quake/Quake 2 games a lot, generally when I have a few minutes free and just feel like shooting something.

I also bash around on C&C TFD as well, good fun that.

For me, people only care about graphics these days. Nobody cares about gameplay - I mean ffs, the two most anticipated releases at the moment are just cookie-cutter modern warfare games, which have been around for years if you don't mind the older-looking graphics, which I absolutely don't if it means good gameplay.

Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Blood Money, Xenon 2, Dungeon Master, Chaos Strikes Back, Dungeon Master 2, Might and Magic 3-5, Eye of the Beholder 1-2, Thief 1-3, StarCraft, Sensible World of Soccer, Final Fantasy VIII (need to finish VII one day!), Wizardry 6-7.

So many good times.

Looking at the list, I spend waaaayyyy too much time revisiting games from my youth/teens.

I play Bubble Bobble every now and again.
I'm currently playing through Far Cry on hard.

Oh and I still have the second greatest game of all time (X-com Apocalypse) installed on steam.
