Very easy
Just requires common sense, I found some step by step intructions with screenshots and it guides you through everything. Heheh...I just rang my mate and shouted iPhone down to him

its 1.1.1 with the wifi store, probably haven't had the update come through yet, my itunes updates usually come through a day later

At the same time, i think the instructions are useless as the devs are currently working on the crack for the 1.1.1 firmware.

All iPhones that are being sold in the US right now, are still loaded with 1.0.2 firmware (or lower) - The unlock instructions should work so long as you don't upgrade to 1.1.1!
All you have to do is drop by the iPhone Dev Team site and they've got a very easy to follow walkthough.
I haven't tried them myself, but just reading the instructions I can see it's easy so long as you don't mind a bit of Terminal usage

Also, take the screen plastic off, it wont scratch, dads ones is awesome. I have a real pet hate of people leaving the plastic on the screen, dunno why. Mother does it to her phones all the time, leaves it on until it falls off haha!

I'll snap it when I get home. Problem is where I spend my days at a desk at work which I have to keep tidy I cba with doing it at home
